Diaclin is primarily used to address diarrhoea—both acute and chronic—by binding and removing toxins from the gastrointestinal tract. The product contains two main active ingredients, Absorbatox and Diosmectite, which act as mineral adsorbents that attach to harmful substances such as enterotoxins, mycotoxins, nitrates, heavy metals, and other cations, thereby aiding in toxin removal and symptom relief[1][2][3]. Diaclin is indicated for the relief of gastrointestinal disturbances and discomfort, including loose stools and diarrhoea[3][4].
The capsules are suitable for both adults and children from six months of age, and they are considered safe for use in these age groups due to the lack of systemic absorption[1][8]. Diaclin is sugar-free and can be administered either by swallowing the capsule or by opening the capsule and mixing its contents with soft food, especially for younger children[1].
Administration of Diaclin should be accompanied by oral rehydration solution (ORS) or other forms of fluid replacement therapy to prevent dehydration, which is critical in cases of diarrhoea[1].
