Zomevek Uses

Zomevek is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. Additionally, it may be used to improve survival after a heart attack and can help lower the risk of hospitalization in people with heart failure[1]. Zomevek belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs), which work by relaxing blood vessels, thereby making it easier for blood to flow and helping to reduce blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems[1].

Other recognized uses of Zomevek include helping to protect the kidneys in patients with diabetes and reducing urinary albumin excretion (UAE) in hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes[2]. Clinical studies have shown that doses between 160–320 mg of Zomevek can significantly lower UAE in these patients, indicating an added benefit for kidney protection[2].
